Longarm Quilting Rates
General Rates:
Price per square inch: .03
I charge 3 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144

Minimum charge: $50
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting:
I use and stock Hobbs batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton and in the 100% poly. I can order Quilter's Dream batting in a variety of fiber options, given enough lead time. Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.

Thread:
I stock Glide Thread. I am happy to order other varieties at a small charge, given enough lead time. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price. My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But ultimately this is your quilt and if you have a preference on thread color, please let me know!

Shipping:
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Purcellville, Virginia, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.

Payment:
After the quilting is complete, I will invoice you via PayPal. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.

Add Ons:
Batting: $12 per yd
I stock Hobbs 80/20 Batting at a price of $12 per yard. If you would like me to use Quilter's Dream in any variety of fiber options, I am happy to order this with enough lead time.
Make Binding: $20
I am happy to make your binding, including the cutting, sewing, and pressing. I will return it with the quilted top.

Make the Back: $20
If you have fabric that isn't wide enough for your quilt top, I can seam the fabric for you. This cost covers up to 2 seams.

Machine Bind: $.02 per inch
I can machine bind your quilt for $.25 per inch. This can be binding I have made or binding you include with the quilt top.

Heirloom Bind: $.25 per inch
I can stitching the binding down by machine and finish the top by hand stitching, to give it the heirloom look and feel. This costs $.75 per inch.
